7 Nights: Naples - Taormina, Sicily - Sample Itinerary
Day 1Naples to Ischia: From the hustle, bustle and charm of Naples, sail through the Bay of Naples to the Volcanic island of Ischia, known as “The Island of Well-Being”. Ischia is famous for its therapeutic spas, such as Negumbo.
Day 2
Ischia to Capri: Sail across the Bay to the chic island of Capri. Enjoy a vast array of watersports around the secluded anchorages to the west of the island, or explore the blue caves in the north. Travel inland and take the chair lift through the profusion of flowers and experience breathtaking views from the top of Monte Solaro.
Day 3 and 4
Capri to Sorrento to Positano to Amalfi: Sorrento is surrounded by a rich countryside dotted with terraced vines and lemon groves, tiny white houses and purple bougainvillea; Sorrento is a short trip from Capri. Embrace the views from the cliff-top terraced walkways in the Museo Correale di Terranova. Sail on to the Bay of Senno di Leranto and enjoy the local cuisine.
Sail on to the charming town of Positano, perched amid rocky terrain. Spend a leisurely day indulging in watersports activities and discovering the Azure Grotto, before heading east towards Amalfi.
Day 5
Amalfi to Lipari: Enjoy the spectacular, colorful setting of Amalfi before diving into the idyllic waters. Overnight sail along the coast of Italy towards Sicily and the Lipari Islands, drifting past the active volcano of Stromboli at dawn, before arriving at Lipari.
Day 6 and 7Lipari to Taormina: Explore the secluded anchorages of the surroundings islands, as well as the mud ponds and bubbling hot springs on Vulcano. Then sail through the Messina Straits and the fleets of tall-masted swordfish boats to Taormina, the Monte Carlo of Sicily.
Sail on to Catania. Venture inland from Giardini Naxon to Mount Etna, and take a helicopter ride over the world’s largest active volcano.
Day 8
Catania: Disembark at noon for limo transport to the airport at Catania.
